LA Lakers Welcome Lindsey Harding as Assistant Coach

Selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft, Harding played nine seasons in the WNBA, representing six different teams. She also displayed her basketball prowess internationally, playing in Turkey, among other countries. After hanging up her sneakers in 2017, Harding seamlessly transitioned into coaching and development roles, a move that has continuously underscored her impact on the sport.
Her credentials garnered significant recognition early on; in 2019, she joined the Sacramento Kings as an assistant coach. Notably, Harding broke barriers in 2018 when she became the first black woman to hold a full-time scouting position in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers. She briefly served as the head coach of South Sudan's women’s national team and is currently the head coach of Mexico's women's national team.
